Uttam Jain
Uttam has nearly 18 years of healthcare investing experience. Prior to founding Paras Capital, Uttam was a Partner and Investment Committee Member at Athyrium Capital Management, a healthcare-only investment fund, and a Director at Thomas H. Lee Partners (THL). Before THL, Mr. Jain worked with Jon at Riverside Partners. Mr. Jain began his career with The Boston Consulting Group, where he specialized in crafting growth strategies for healthcare companies.
Mr. Jain has led successful investments in leading healthcare businesses, including Curo Health Services, PCI Pharma Services, Innovacare Health, IZI Medical, Tegra Medical, and Professional Physical Therapy.
Uttam lives in Cambridge, MA and spends most of his free time trying to keep up with his three daughters.
Jon Lemelman
Jon has over 29 years of healthcare and technology investing and operating experience and has collaborated with Uttam for over 18 years. Prior to Paras, Jon founded and served as CEO of an agentic AI platform called Classify and spent 18 years as a General Partner at Riverside Partners. At Riverside, Jon recruited Uttam onto the investment team and they worked on 4 healthcare transactions together. Jon began his career in investing and operating roles at Fidelity Investments and its affiliated portfolio companies.
Jon’s private equity experience includes extensive investment sourcing of approximately $1 bn in invested equity, deal execution, post closing value creation, fundraising and firm management.
Jon lives in Needham, MA, has two children and tries to spend as much time outdoors as possible.
